Nicole Adres

"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2:10

"I spent 30 hours studying the Word that week."

Term 2 IMPACT 195 student, Nicole Adres and her classmates dove into the book of Nehemiah during their week-long trip in the southern Californian mountains.

"It was a week to sit at God's feet and study the Bible with no disruptions, no distractions...God rocked me..."

During a night of praise and worship Nicole found herself, among many, on her knees broken before the Lord, confessing before her friends. She admitted her fears of rejection and realized her image was wrapped around education, a career and relationships with guys.

"This is what was defining who I was, if I was ok or not...I was putting these things before God."

Nicole determined to let it all go and put God first. Not long after being open and transparent with her class, Nicole found herself sitting outside next to a disturbed young girl that had come up to the same camp she was at for a junior high camp.  The girl was crying.

"Everything God had been ministering to me, I was able to lovingly communicate to her!"

They talked about identity, God's love and how much Nicole now wanted to live a life for Christ, not the world.

"This girl was so encouraged. I prayed with her...I think it might have changed her life..."

Nicole starts her final term of IMPACT195 this fall.

"I know I am God's workmanship, and the works He has for me are becoming more clear... I am going to walk Jesus and love everyone He puts in my path along the way!
