George is unique mixture of spiritual entrepreneur, equipper and Pastor at the Rock Church in San Diego, CA. His passion is to help people discover and live with the personal significance that comes from knowing Jesus and making a positive impact on the world for His sake. At age 23 he began working at Horizon Christian Fellowship as an intern pastor. After six years they moved to Calvary Chapel Bible College Europe where they served for two years developing curriculum, equipping students, and sending out missionaries. In 2001 they relocated to Mexico where they helped set up and administrate Festivals of Life for Horizon Christian Fellowship in Queretaro and Aguas Calientes. After nine years on the mission field they returned to San Diego where George served as the Director of the Horizon School of Evangelism (HSE) for seven years. In 2010, sensing a call to a new chapter, George resigned as director of HSE to launch a totally new and innovative discipleship school in conjunction with the Rock Church in San Diego called IMPACT195 School of Ministry.  God blessed his efforts immensely and established IMPACT195. He and his team focus on those who consider themselves no longer worthy of the church, or disqualified by their past experiences to belong to a community in pursuit of Jesus. Organizing nonconventional events and transforming unsuspecting spaces to establish community and a new concept of church, engaging individuals who are hesitant to be found within the traditional walls of a church. He currently is pioneering a project within Rock Church that marries outreach ministries with the Sunday worship experience via streaming technologies. The mission is to bring the Gospel to people far from the church, both physically and spiritually. Mingo also speaks throughout the year to students and young adults about the relentless love of Jesus and the hope of the Gospel.
